This week, we look back on 2020 in Magic. The main take away from the year is that there are a ton of products. We will start by taking about talking about all of the various products that happened and if they were good or bad. Then we will talk about the move to Arena and Arena opens followed by the fallout from no in-person play. This week we wander around the world of Modern. Not to talk about the top tier decks, but to talk about some budget options. We discuss the many flavors of no land combo decks that are in the format. Each of these decks plays out differently and can have room for you to tailor it to your play style. Since these decks have no lands, they avoid the cost of the fetch-shock mana base and can provide a much cheaper entry point for Modern. The complete decks are cheaper than the lands found in the top tier Modern decks. With budgets on our mind, we revisit the topic of getting the most out of your Arena dollar.
